Behind the scenes with Vanessa and her three beautiful girls

This was a very exciting day for the girls indeed, Vanessa ( Mommy) booked a surprise shoot and we did a glamour makeover for four. I must say I was quite impressed that is was kept a secret, I am terrible at keeping surprises a secret. Needless to say all the girls (including mom) were both excited and nervous. After hair and make up (make up and hair by Hannelie Burger), I did individual portrait shots of all the girls and posed them for group portraits as well.

This was a fun filled portrait shoot, with lots of laughter and cherished moments to keep forever. Oh and my nine year daughter was my second shooter on the day too, she was fabulous!

I always love portrait sessions like these, where bonding between mother and daughters and between sisters is evident, the love, smiles and poses flowed freely, and I know their portraits will be cherished for all time to come.

Thank you gorgeous Vanessa and beautiful trio for a portrait shoot to remember and for sharing your love and beauty with me on the day.

Portraits coming to the blog soon.

Behind the scene with Angela

Behind the scene of Angela’s glamour makeover portrait shoot, I have the most amazing hair and makeup artist that I use for all my shoots, making this day an occasion to remember, I always tell my clients to organise an evening out to paint the town red after the shoot, looking so gorgeous.

and of course, there are always refreshments in studio 🙂

I cannot wait to post Angela’s portraits on my blog, keep an eye out, they are coming soon.

Picture credits go to my lovely assistant Kyra, who was a super star as always.

Hannelie Mini Shoot

Hannelie, my hair and makeup artist needed a few beauty shots for a magazine, so with ten minutes before our client arrived for her glamour, portrait session, we got busy.

Glamour Portrait – Tabeth

Tabeth, aka Tabby had never done a photo-shoot before in her life, in fact she didn’t have any photo’s of herself at all, neither did her family or friends. Needless to say her glamour portrait photo shoot was a really special experience for both her and I.

There was extra time and care spent in directing Tabby’s poses, because this was her first portrait photo shoot. But it turned out to be so much fun, and needless to say she felt and looked like a glamour supermodel . Tabby even went out that evening to paint the town red.

What an amazing experience for both of us, for me, the moment of truth was in the viewing of her very first portrait photography portfolio:

With tears in her eyes she gasped and said to me “OMG, I never knew I was so beautiful.

You always are” was my response. A Very emotional, heartfelt moment shared indeed.

This is what it’s all about for me. I want YOU to see how beautiful you actually are.

I want to bring out the beautiful in all woman, as I see beauty through new eyes.

I say the above earnestly, because with my socially defined disability, following my stroke two years ago, I really do see things differently. Being able to photograph this is a privilege that I am most grateful for.

Next glamour photo shoot following on my blog soon, for more info you can contact me at, glamour photo shoots are for YOU, for couples, for mum’s and daughters, for YOU and siblings, for YOU and friends too.
