Before my viewings, I interview my clients to learn about their experience and feelings doing a session with me.
I believe that the experience is a healing in itself, whether it be a confidence booster, self esteem booster etc. There is nothing like seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes (and I have said this before, I have a gift in this department – I only see beautiful, when I am photographing)
I touched on this with an earlier post for Mari, who has motor neuron disease, this is a terrible, degenerative disease, and my heart goes out to Mari, who has no use of her legs anymore, but yet she is still smiling.
during her interview, she said something profound to me, and this is what I want to share here:
When I asked Mari, why she did her session with me, this was her reply:
She related to my own disability, and her disability hurts her and makes her sad, but she did it to prove that her illness does define her and she is still beautiful. she added, no matter what your challenges are – you are still beautiful.
So ladies, today, look in the mirror and repeat after me:
“I am beautiful, I am enough, I am worthy, I am AWESOME!”
